Chernov is the founder of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP). Lately, a broader audience worldwide saw his film “20 Days in Mariupol” which won the Oscar for the best Documentary Feature in 2024.
Wall Evidence
The inscriptions from all over Ukraine are collected by the team of the Mizhvukhamy cultural institution and published on an interactive map of Ukraine on the Wall Evidence website.

After the liberation of Kherson on November 11, 2022, Anastasia Vlasova was one of the first photographers to enter the city. She used to describe her hometown of Kherson as "a small town where nothing ever happens," and then added, "Until last year, of course."

Yana Kononova
In her project "Radiation of War", Kononova stayed in occupied areas. She takes pictures of destroyed civilian infrastructure. Before the invasion, Kononova has not made experiences as a war correspondant yet.
Ganna Sokolova
Ganna Sokolova, a journalist with Zaborona Media was one of the first coing to liberated territories. The photo is part of the joined project "Life of War" together with Public Interest Journalism Lab and Documenting Ukraine.
